What is sneak attack 3.5?

In Dungeons and Dragons 3.5, a sneak attack is a special attack performed by a rogue or other character with the Sneak Attack ability. Sneak attacks can only be performed on targets who are unaware of the character’s presence, are denied their Dexterity bonus to AC, or are flanked by the character’s allies.

Sneak attacks deal extra damage based on the character's level, starting at +1d6 at 1st level and increasing by +1d6 every other level. Sneak attacks also work with ranged attacks, but require specific conditions, such as attacking from hiding or having the target be unaware of the character's presence.

Sneak attacks are a powerful ability for rogues and other characters who rely on subterfuge and stealth to take down their enemies quickly. It is important for players to communicate with their Dungeon Master to ensure they understand when a sneak attack can be performed.
